Position Overview

We are looking for a Creative Actions Organiser – Events & Stunts to join our team in Germany for a 6-month full-time consultancy. This role will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-impact events and public actions that capture media attention and mobilize German audiences and engage decision-makers, with focus on our Gaza campaigns.

The right candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and excited to help stage bold, creative, and strategic public actions.

This role reports to the Senior Campaign director leading our Gaza initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Creative ideation of big and bold stunts to end the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, to change the narrative in Germany and move decision makers to action.
  • Plan, support and execute of high-visibility events and stunts in Germany.
  • Manage logistics including venues, permits, materials, suppliers, and budgets.
  • Work closely with the Avaaz media, digital content and campaign teams to ensure events generate strong coverage.
  • Support coordination with civil society partners, artists, volunteers, and grassroots networks.
  • Monitor German political developments and cultural moments to identify opportunities for timely actions.
  • Ensure events are safe, inclusive, and aligned with Avaaz’s values.
  • Document events with photos, videos, and short reports.
  • Assist in tracking and evaluating event impact.
  • Contribute creative ideas for innovative, headline-grabbing public moments.

Skills & Qualities

  • Creative imagination and experience in building high-impact stunts, events, structures
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Wide experience in event planning, activism, or campaign logistics.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and able to handle shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with Germany’s political and cultural context.
  • Strong written and spoken German and English. Additional language/s is a plus.
  • Comfortable collaborating with diverse stakeholders and communities.
  • Creativity and attention to detail in staging public moments.
  • Focused and impact-oriented mindset, able to effectively work in a fast-paced, high-impact campaigning environment, managing shifting priorities and urgent deadlines.
  • High professionalism and delivery orientation, with proven ability to deliver high-quality work at speed, balancing accuracy, clarity, and impact under intense pressure or periods.
  • Sustaining performance through effective stress and workload management, to maintain high performance and personal wellbeing.
  • Strong collaboration skills across teams to deliver rapid, impactful campaigns while upholding Avaaz’s values and mission.
  • Passion for global justice, experience engaging responsibly with emotionally challenging global justice issues and imagery, demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in digital collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, media databases).

Location 

Avaaz is a virtual organization and most of our work is done online. Our staff are based in cities all over the world. For this role, we are seeking candidates who reside in Germany, preferably Berlin, but candidates based in other cities in Germany are welcome to apply too.

Compensation and Benefits

The full-package salary for this position in Germany ranges from 57.000 - 65.000 EUR, based on experience.
